Hi! I work in forecasting, high-performance software and data visualisation. I look after the transport planning business at Arup in Melbourne, as well as leading its modelling and forecasting across the Asia Pacific region. I’m passionate about building useful tools and beautiful graphics.

2026–now
Arup
I currently look after the transport planning business in Melbourne with direct responsibility for more than 35 people. The team spans transport strategy and traffic engineering, rail planning, as well as a number of distinct analytics and simulation disciplines. Alongside this, I still lead modelling and forecasting across the Asia Pacific region.
2017–26
Arup
I led the strategic transport modelling team in Melbourne as well as the Asia Pacific region’s advanced forecasting capability. This involved architecting city-scale behaviour simulation systems deployed by governments to shape infrastructure and policy decisions. I specialised in high-performance computing, complex data analysis and making technical results clear to people who are not modellers.
2016–17
Monash University Accident Research Centre
I analysed how a range of organisations approach vehicle safety policy, providing data for a study to support research and policy development in transport safety.
2013–17
Australian Road Research Board
I developed pavement degradation models used to schedule maintenance across road networks in Victoria and South Australia. I also worked on research and consulting in asset management, network operations and freight, including the evaluation of differential truck speed limit trials.
